American coin silver Aesthetic napkin ring in the Bird pattern by Johann Rudolph Wendt of New York City, Patent 1865, dated 1872 and monogrammed, in an applied shield: JRT. This fabulous napkin ring has Rose Palmette and Belleflower banded rims with lower bead and dart borders. The central band of bird and floral decoration ha beaded borders. Weighing 54 grams or 1.7 ozs. Troy, this special napkin ring is 1 13/16" in diameter and 1 3/4" tall. Monogrammed and inscribed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
